Business Development (EU Public Procurement) Trainee

We are looking for a young, motivated trainee with a genuine interest for business development in the context of EU Public Procurement, for an immediate, full-time position to support our busy Business Development team. Working with multiple priorities and within tight deadlines, you will help our Business Development team to coordinate the entire proposal process from initial identification of potential opportunities to the final delivery of a high-quality product. This is an exciting opportunity to learn all about the EU tendering process from the heart of a busy consultancy.

The position is for a paid 6-month traineeship on a standard Belgian trainee contract (Convention d’Immersion Professionelle).

Key qualifications for the position:

• University Degree (European Affairs, Business Administration, International Studies, or similar). 
• Any previous experience in Business Development and Tendering in an EU consultancy environment would be a definite advantage
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Positive attitude
• A genuine interest for business development
• A “can-do” take charge, self starting personality
• Excellent computer skills, particularly MS Office
• Excellent planning, organisational and multi-tasking skills
• Meticulous attention to detail. 
• Excellent English. Knowledge of other EU-language(s) would be an asset
